We'll see how the return works out.I updated my review after a couple of days of usage to add stars, because these do reliably come on at the same time every day if you use the timer function, which is an incredibly handy feature. No need to go around the house with the remote turning them all on one by one, which is far more convenient than the old corded candles.First impressions:Good-The candle flicker seems decent. If you actually watch them you can see that the pattern repeat is fairly short but for holiday decorations it's fine.-They are a nice size and with LEDs the all-in-one construction of the candle part makes sense. I kind of wish they were permanently attached to the plastic candlesticks (since there's no way I'd use these in other candle holders as interior decor in lieu of real candles).- The suction cups actually seem to suck, which is not what I'd expect from a low end product like this. I imagined there was no way it would actually hold these to the windows, but I'm happy to be proven wrong.Bad-The LEDs aren't warm white or even a yellowish poor simulation of candle light. They are ORANGE. Like Halloween orange. Donald Trump's spray tan orange. High vis safety vest orange. Nacho cheese orange. The color of TANG. Christo's The Gates. ORANGE. They look a little lame compared to the candles I remember from childhood and other LED candles I've seen since, TBH -- least flame-like color of any electric candles I've ever seen. I specifically looked for info on light color in the reviews, but I guess I didn't look hard enough because these are, well, not realistic to say the least.-The plastic parts aren't exactly precision manufactured. I screwed one of the bases on and forgot to press the button before putting it in the plastic candlestick. As I pulled it back out to turn it on, the base popped off and got lodged firmly inside the plastic candlestick. The twist-lock mechanism that keeps them together is just that flimsy and the fit into the candlesticks that inexact. Indeed, this has happened several times as I've gotten them set up around my house.Ugly-Did I mention they're orange? Golden Gate Bridge orange. Koi fish orange. Carrot soup orange. Kinda ugly ORANGE.Update one year later: I've replaced these with a cheaper set from a local big box retailer. The replacements don't have a remote with all sorts of options, but they were cheaper and produce more appealing light and also have a timer function that is really the only must-have feature for me. The impetus to replace them was that none of the suction cups would stick after a year in storage, so I needed some with smaller bases/less topheavy construction that wouldn't topple off my windowsills if not adhered to the glass. It wasn't until I put brand new batteries from the same package in a different candle (left) and this product (right) that I realized that even on the brightest setting these were quite dim. The photo doesn't do the color justice, as the brighter, more neutral light from the new candle lit up the clear plastic of these almost more than its own internal LED did (and my so-ugly-they're-almost-cool retro counters make for weird color balance, anyway). I may offer this product to a neighbor who goes all out for Halloween now that I've upgraded my windows from haunted house to real holiday cheer.Used mostly for ambiance. Serves its best.These were a great buy. They are just the right amount of light for your windows at Christmas. They look pretty real and flicker like a real candle. Happy I bought them. Wish I could get more remote controls. I have to walk around the house turning them on. If I could get more remotes at least my kids could turn their own on. But not a big deal.From our box of 12 candles, 8 of them work reliably. The other 4 seem to be a bit... possessed.The candles that do work well are great. The color is perfect, the flicker as realistic as one could hope for from an LED, the candles come on at the right time, stay on, go off at the right time, and stay off until it's time to repeat the cycle. The remote is short-range, so to get them going, I gathered them all together on the table, set the timer function, then went around the house to place them in their windows, and that was that. I haven't had to touch them since. After several weeks of 6-hr per night use, the batteries were still going strong.As for the other 4 candles, they seem to have a mind of their own. They come on and go off (or don't) at random. You can also make them come on sometimes just by tapping them against a solid surface (my toddler's favorite "feature"). So every morning, I collect them together and turn them off. Then every evening I turn them on and place them in their windows. It's a bit of a hassle and meant that when we left to visit family for Christmas for several weeks, I had to leave them off completely since I couldn't trust them to do what they were supposed to do.They look lovely although the lights themselves are not very strong at all. I cannot comment much on the battery life as I use energy saving ones which don’t last as long.Remote control is great.Their fabFour working fine the others were not on arrivalThese candles are awesome! All individually wrapped to prevent scratches.I have not tried the suction cups as my window sills were wide enough to set the holders on,but they look substantial.We lost power a few days after I put these out and they were a Godsend!! I was thinking of Christmas decor and never had even considered for a power outage!I have had them on for about 8 hours every night and overnight at least once and not used up any batteries yet. Approximately 3 to 4 weeks of daily use.The remote control is awesome...so easy to just stand in the doorway and turn off lights as I walk down the hall. It even works on another set of candles that I had previously! Unexpected bonus!I would HIGHLY recommend and purchase again, absolutely!!I was very pleased with the candles, I purchased two- six packs, all 12 candles and both remotes functioned. I plan to use them on the windows during the holidays and on tables during the year. I like that they take double AA batteries rather than triple AAA batteries. They were shipped quickly, and came in boxes that can be used for storing. Pleased with my purchase..
