My mistake I guess but, I thought these would come on at dusk but, they don't. They have a remote with them so, you turn them on and off with that. They would be great to put somewhere that is hard to reach. Just not what I wanted them for. They are very pretty lit or not lit and look real.Love the fact these come with batteries! Ready to use out of the box.Thank you.If safety is your goal these will do the trick but don't expect them to fool anyone. The flame is not at all realistic looking. A shame because they fit nicely in the candle holder. The remote feature is nice. These would be good in an area where they won't be looked at very closely.I love these flickering candles. They are located in our dining room and give such a festive warm glow. What fun using theremote. A push of the button and they all light up or snuff off at the same time...feel rather "bewitched" when I do that...smile.Was hoping to be able to lay in bed and turn them off from about 10 feet away. The remote wont cover that distanceLooks good on dining table.I got a set for my dinning room set and they are just gorgeous. So glad I bought these, and I don't have to worry about flames around the house!We found the product to be extremely easy to use and was surprised that it feels like real wax when you touch it. my wife and I are pleased with this product.
