At the begging I could barely smell a thing so I let it burn until the first layer of wax melted so it continued to burn evenly. The second time I lighted the candle I was in my little office but it was so intense that it gave me a headache and kinda made me feel sick. I think this would work in more open areas and have it burning just for couple minutes.Smells goodThe packaging was amazing! I love how it was secured and didn't have to worry about it breaking. I love the brown glass it came in. Soy candles are my favorite because from time to time I will rub some on my skin and it smells so good!
