I really like these candles....they come in 6 small tins with lovely packaging and are great for giving as a gift for someone who sits out on a deck in the summer.....they work very well for me and the scent is quite pleasant. The citronella definitely keeps the mosquitos away...I like the way it makes my hse smell...These are so darn cute but did not do a lot for the bugs.These lightweight Christmas Candles come in a festive box and have 6 different scented, decorative little orbs. They also do extra duty when not in use by hanging on a Christmas tree. This item makes a wonderful gift for those who love candles and decorate for the season. My aunt in Germany wanted some American style scented Christmas candles, but, the glass ones were too heavy and costly to send overseas. I chose these instead. Not only did she get different scented candles, but also more than she expected. She was so happy and thrilled and couldn't thank me enough when she received her package. I bought four sets for myself and will give some away as house warming gifts. The candles burn clean and the citronella scent is delightful. They are effective to keep bugs away and look very nice indoors or outdoors for any season.These have a pleasant smell, and come in pretty tins and a really nice box. It was a good housewarming gift for my friend with a big outdoor deck. I am pretty sensitive to perfumes and such, but these don't have a chemically or cloying scent. Just smell like the herbs -- citronella, and lemon balm, I believe. I would definitely buy them again.Hate is a strong word…but I hate mosquitoes!!!! I love these candles because they actually repel them. I don’t leave them lit when I’m not around. But even the scent is strong enough to keep the blood suckers away!!!Only one mosquito attacked me or a period where between two ppl we would normally have 8 bites, it’s not my favorite smell and my cat doesn’t care for it either but it works, not 100% effective, but not much that is pet safe is.These 8 small individual candles look great either spread around your deck or down the centre of your table. The scent is not overpowering and helped keep the mosquitos away. They seem to burn slower than other less expensive candles and each have a lid so great to keep them clean between uses. I ordered a second box as they will make perfect little hostess gifts for summer BBQs and great to take on a picnic.Exactly as described.
